The controversy began when Queeneth Hilbert publicly called out Etiko on social media, alleging that the actress had been involved with her wealthy boyfriend and other colleagues’ partners.
In response, Etiko, through her legal team, issued a cease-and-desist letter demanding that Hilbert retract the defamatory statements and issue a public apology within 48 hours. The letter, signed by her lawyers Chisom Onugah and C.C. Nwabundo, also included a demand for N100 million in damages for the harm caused to Etiko’s reputation.
Etiko shared the legal notice on her Instagram page, firmly denying the allegations. She accused Hilbert of fabricating the claims for personal gain and material benefits, emphasizing that the accusations were baseless and damaging to her career and public image.
