Media personality Gbemi Olateru Olagbegi has sparked a wave of online conversations after sharing her thoughts on what it takes to achieve rapid wealth and fame in Nigeria.

In a post on the micro-blogging platform X (formerly Twitter), Gbemi claimed that to climb the ladder of success quickly in the country, one must be prepared to let go of their "home training, shame, and morals."

She followed up with a thought-provoking question to her followers, asking whether such success was truly what they aspired to.

“If you want to be rich and famous quickly in this country, you have to lose your home training, shame, and morals. Is that the kind of success you really want?” she tweeted.

Her candid statement struck a chord with many social media users, who flooded the comments section with reactions. Some agreed with her perspective, pointing out that Nigeria’s system often appears to reward controversial and ethically dubious behavior. Others responded with humor, joking about the idea of embracing such a path to success.

This isn’t the first time Gbemi has shared bold opinions on societal trends. Last year, she revealed that she had turned down direct messages from wealthy and attractive footballers, citing her fear of famous men leaking private conversations online.

Her latest remarks have once again ignited discussions about the values and compromises often associated with achieving fame and fortune in today’s world.
