The adjustment, as stated by JAMB, is necessary to accommodate crucial commitments involving the Board and its partner agencies, ensuring a seamless and efficient examination process. The official announcement was also shared on the Board’s official X (formerly Twitter) handle, keeping prospective candidates informed of this important update.
In tandem with the change in date, JAMB has also announced the immediate availability of the Notification Slips for printing by all registered candidates. These slips are vital documents containing essential details for each candidate, including their specific examination date, the designated examination venue (centre), the scheduled time for their paper, and other important instructions that must be adhered to for a successful examination.
The Board emphasized the critical information contained within the Notification Slips, stating that they include the "Examination date, venue (centre), time, [and] other essential details necessary for successfully sitting for the examination."
Prospective candidates are strongly advised to begin printing their Notification Slips starting today, Saturday, April 19, 2025. This early release is intended to provide candidates with ample time to make necessary logistical arrangements and familiarize themselves with the locations of their assigned examination centres within their chosen examination towns.
To access and print their examination slips, candidates are instructed to follow a simple online procedure: “Visit www.jamb.gov.ng, click on ‘2025 UTME Slip Printing.’ Enter your registration number and click on ‘Print Examination Slip’,” the statement detailed.
JAMB further urged candidates to take the proactive step of visiting their assigned examination centres well in advance of their scheduled examination date. “It is strongly advised that candidates print their slips and familiarise themselves with their examination centres at least one or two days before the examination date. This preparation will help ensure a smooth experience on exam day,” the Board reiterated.
In a concluding note, JAMB reassured candidates that their examination centres will be located within their chosen examination towns. “To reiterate, the 2025 UTME will begin on Thursday, April 24, 2025. Candidates are advised to print their Examination Notification Slips at least a day before the exam to confirm their examination dates and locations, making it easier to access their centres on the day of the examination. Please note that candidates will be assigned to centres within their chosen examination towns; no candidate will be placed in a centre outside their selected town,” the statement affirmed.
This announcement provides clarity and essential information for the numerous candidates preparing for the 2025 UTME, emphasizing the importance of early preparation and familiarization with their examination details.
