The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has once again adjusted its fuel prices upwards, with other major marketers following suit. This recent hike sees petrol prices climb to N945 per litre in Abuja and N915 per litre in Lagos at NNPCL retail outlets.

This represents a N35 increase in Abuja from the previous N910 per litre, and a N45 increase in Lagos from N870 per litre. Investigations reveal that NNPCL stations, including those on the Fin Niger Badagry Highway, Igando in Lagos, and the Federal Housing area in Kubwa, FCT, have already implemented these new prices, with motorists observed queuing to purchase fuel.

Beyond NNPCL, other petroleum product companies have also revised their pump prices. MRS fuel stations in Lagos have adjusted their meters to N925 per litre from the erstwhile N875 per litre. Similarly, TotalEnergies has increased its pump price to N910 per litre from N879 per litre.

This widespread adjustment in pump prices closely follows the recent decision to increase the ex-depot price of petrol to N880 per litre, signaling a broader shift in the petroleum pricing landscape across the country.
