Mr. Olayisade steps into this pivotal role following the retirement of Dr. (Mrs.) Markie Idowu, who has successfully completed a five-year tenure as Managing Director. The Board of Xpress Payments extended its congratulations to Mr. Olayisade, wishing him a successful term as he guides the company through its next phase of growth. The Board also expressed profound appreciation to Dr. Idowu for her "exceptional leadership" and confirmed that she will continue to serve on the board as a shareholder and Non-Executive Director.
Prior to this new appointment, Mr. Olayisade served as the Executive Director and Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Xpress Payments. He brings a wealth of experience to the role, boasting 25 years in the telecommunications, financial services, and fintech sectors, with a particular expertise in digital transformation. He is a Lean Six Sigma – Green Belt (GoLeanSixSigma) holder, recognized for his ability to implement process improvement strategies that seamlessly integrate business objectives with technology-driven solutions.
Mr. Olayisade's academic background includes a B.Tech. in Computer Science from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, and an MSc in International Management from the University of Liverpool. He has further honed his leadership and business acumen through executive education programs at prestigious institutions such as Columbia Business School and Lagos Business School.
