A Gift of Generosity and Genuine Support

Rising Nigerian singer Ayo Maff has publicly expressed heartfelt gratitude to fellow artist Chike for his remarkable generosity in their joint track, Realness. In a post shared online, Ayo Maff revealed that Chike not only featured on the song free of charge but also handed over full royalty rights to him.

“I didn’t pay him a dime for the verse,” Maff wrote. “I never paid for a session, he showed up to my listening party and showed me love.”

Chike Gave It All — And Asked for Nothing

Beyond contributing his vocals and time without any fee, Chike made an even bigger gesture—signing off on 100% of the royalties from the song, effectively gifting Maff the full financial benefit from the collaboration.

“As if that’s not enough, he gave me all the royalties on our song,” Maff added, tagging Chike in his post. “I know you probably don’t want me to tell anyone, but I’m sorry, big man—the world has to know what you did for me, and you have to know how grateful I am.”

“Realness” That Lives Up to Its Name

The track title Realness couldn’t be more fitting, Maff said, noting that Chike’s actions reflect the very essence of the song’s message.

“I’m so glad the song title is Realness,” he wrote, adding that Chike’s humility and generosity left a lasting impression on him both personally and professionally.

Chike, known for his soulful vocals and collaborative spirit, has yet to comment publicly, but Ayo Maff’s testimony has already sparked admiration online from fans and fellow artists, who praised the act as a rare display of genuine mentorship and support in the music industry.
