Emmanuel Obasi, the former husband of Nollywood actress Judy Austin—who is now married to actor Yul Edochie—has publicly accused her of plotting to end his life while also pleading for help to gain access to their children.

In an emotional video that has gone viral on social media, Obasi claimed Judy has kept their two children away from him for more than 10 years, raising fears about their well-being and safety.

“I’m making this video because I’m in pain,” he said. “I don’t see the reason I will marry someone legally and God bless us with two kids, and for over 10 years now, I have never laid my eyes on my children.”

Obasi alleged that Judy Austin absconded with the children and has effectively cut off all contact. He also expressed worry about whether they are even alive, citing her visible online presence with her children by Yul Edochie while never sharing or mentioning the two from their marriage.

“She has been posting the children she had with Yul but she never for one day posted my children nor did I hear from them,” he explained. “So it looks suspicious from the look of things. I’m not even sure if the children are still alive.”

Adding to his alarm, Obasi claimed he had recently learned of a plot to have him killed in secret.

“I found out that she wanted to ‘kpai’ me secretly. I don’t know what her aim is all about,” he said.

Appealing directly to Nigerians at home and abroad, Obasi called for intervention from public figures and activists, specifically mentioning popular social commentator VeryDarkMan.

“I’m calling on VeryDarkMan to please come to my rescue because this is no longer funny. I’m calling on all Nigerians to help me.”

Reports indicate Obasi married Judy Austin when she was 19 years old and supported her through university. Their marriage eventually ended, and Judy later married Yul Edochie, sparking widespread media attention and controversy within Nollywood.
