The ongoing war of words between controversial Nigerian singer Portable and social media critic VeryDarkMan (VDM) has taken a new twist, with Portable rejecting a ₦100 million offer to engage in a physical showdown. Instead, the "Zazuu" crooner says he would only consider such a fight if a staggering ₦1 billion is placed on the table.

The drama between both personalities has been brewing for weeks, sparked by Portable’s reaction to VDM’s criticism of President Bola Tinubu’s administration. What started as a difference of opinion has since spiraled into a series of public exchanges, marked by fiery outbursts and personal jabs on various online platforms.

Portable, never one to shy away from controversy, dismissed the ₦100 million proposal as a mere pittance. According to him, that kind of money isn’t enough to tempt him into a physical altercation, especially with someone as unpredictable as VDM. “That ₦100 million, my fans give it to me. ₦100 million is too small for me to fight VDM,” he declared in a recent video. “Let them give me ₦1 billion, and I will fight him and beat him.”

He went further to question the rationale behind fighting someone he claimed is hard to pin down. “Someone you can’t hold, you are now asking me to fight and beat him. You are scared of him; you can’t jail him,” Portable added, referencing VDM’s reputation for staying ahead of authorities.

The heated back-and-forth between the two has continued to generate buzz online, with fans and followers divided in their support. For some, it's pure entertainment; for others, a concerning example of how social media disputes can quickly escalate beyond reason.

As it stands, no official confirmation has been made regarding who offered the ₦100 million or whether Portable’s billion-naira demand will be taken seriously. But one thing is clear: both figures are thriving in the spotlight—and neither appears ready to back down.
