According to the company, the service will give African businesses, startups, and developers faster access to reliable cloud infrastructure, eliminating delays in activating and managing online services. By leveraging DigitalOcean’s global infrastructure, HoganHost plans to offer high-performance servers, resilient networking, and scalable cloud databases tailored for the continent’s growing digital economy.
“Partnering with DigitalOcean allows us to deliver world-class cloud hosting right here in Africa,” said Joseph Effiok Hogan, co-founder of HoganHost.
His fellow co-founder, Atim Hogan, added: “Our goal is to empower local developers and businesses to innovate and scale efficiently with instant access to cloud resources.”
Industry experts note that Africa’s digital transformation has accelerated in recent years, driven by a surge in fintech, e-commerce, and mobile services. Yet, access to advanced and affordable cloud solutions remains limited in many regions. By offering instant cloud hosting locally, HoganHost and DigitalOcean aim to close that gap while boosting the competitiveness of African enterprises on the global stage.
The company said updates and early access details will be provided through HoganHost’s official platforms as the January 2026 launch approaches.
