The unveiling, held in Lagos, marks a major milestone for the young club, which was only established six months ago. Despite its short history, Tonic FC has already shown promise on the domestic scene, competing in the recently concluded Nationwide League One (NLO) championship, where it narrowly missed out on promotion.
According to the club’s management, the move reflects the developmental pathway built into its partnership with FC Esmoriz, designed to give young Nigerian players direct access to European football opportunities.
Officials of the club described the development as a validation of Tonic FC’s model of talent identification and grooming, with expectations that more players will follow the same route in the coming seasons.
