Nollywood actress Adesua Etomi-Wellington has opened up about a harrowing health scare that nearly claimed her life while she was in the United Kingdom earlier this year.

In an emotional post shared on Instagram, the Sugar Rush star recounted how a sudden medical emergency in June 2025 led to an unexpected surgery—an experience she described as both “horrific and life-changing.”

“I could have lost my life in June,” she wrote. “What I went through was horrific and ended with an unplanned surgery and, strangely, the surgery itself was the least dramatic part of it all.”

Adesua, who was in the UK for two speaking engagements alongside her husband Banky W and their two sons, said the events of that day unfolded in a way that could only be described as divine orchestration.

“If even one single detail had been different, I wouldn’t be here today. When I think about it, I shudder,” she added, expressing deep gratitude for what she believes was divine intervention.

The actress shared that the experience profoundly strengthened her faith and shifted her perspective on life.

“There’s nothing anyone can tell me—God is real,” she declared.

Adesua urged her followers to cherish every moment and live with kindness and compassion.

“Let’s choose to be softer, kinder, gentler, forgiving, patient, loving, and peaceful. I’ll never take another day for granted, neither should you,” she wrote.

The post has since drawn an outpouring of love and prayers from fans and fellow entertainers, many of whom praised her for sharing such a personal and faith-affirming story.
