The stage is set for a spectacular close to Nigeria’s comedy calendar as Gbenga Adeyinka, one of the country’s foremost entertainers, prepares to host the 2025 grand finale of his popular concert series, Laffmattazz with Gbenga Adeyinka and Friends.
Tagged “The Last Show”, the year-ending event will take place on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos. The show promises an unforgettable blend of humour, music, and cultural celebration.
Now in its 18th year, Laffmattazz has evolved into one of Nigeria’s most enduring comedy brands, touring major cities across the country and even extending its reach overseas with a debut UK tour earlier this year. The 2025 finale marks a symbolic return to Lagos—the birthplace of the concept that has since become a household name in live entertainment.
“This year’s show is special for me,” Adeyinka said in a statement. “Lagos made me who I am, and it feels right to close the year in the city that gave me my voice and my audience.”
He described the Lagos edition as a tribute to the city’s energy and resilience.
“Lagos is more than a location. It’s a spirit—vibrant, diverse and full of life. We’re bringing that essence to the stage,” he added.
The star-studded lineup will feature comedy icons and music heavyweights, including Alibaba, Niniola, 9ice, Sunny Neji, Timi Dakolo, Omobaba, Edo Pikin, Musiliu Haruna Ishola, Dr Smile, and more. Attendees will also enjoy live performances by Aristos Band, DJ MASS, and other supporting acts.
Reflecting on the show’s journey, Adeyinka described Laffmattazz as both a movement and a message.
“This is a thank-you note to everyone who has supported us since day one,” he said. “Comedy is one of Nigeria’s strongest exports. Through Laffmattazz, we’ve shown that laughter truly unites people, no matter where they are.”
With its mix of nostalgia, star power, and Lagos flair, Laffmattazz: The Last Show is poised to be a fitting finale to Gbenga Adeyinka’s 2025 season of laughter.
