Award-winning Afrobeats singer Tiwa Savage has denied allegations that she has been sabotaging other female artists in the Nigerian music industry.

The Somebody’s Son crooner challenged anyone making such claims to come forward with evidence, insisting that she has never tried to hinder the progress of her colleagues.

Speaking on a recent episode of the OffAir Show, Tiwa addressed the long-standing rumours that she blocks other female artists from getting bookings or performing at major events.

“If you’ve heard from anybody that I tried to block your bag, mention names,” she said. “Maybe the promoters are lying and using me, maybe they don’t want to book three or four girls, so they claim I’m the one blocking others.”

Her comments come years after Kenyan singer Victoria Kimani accused her of allegedly preventing her from performing at certain shows — an accusation Tiwa has consistently denied.

The 44-year-old singer maintained that many of these claims are baseless and likely stem from misunderstandings or false narratives spread by event promoters.

Tiwa Savage, often regarded as one of Africa’s leading female music figures, has continued to advocate for collaboration over competition among women in the entertainment industry.
