Christian Edeh Michael, popularly known as Boombeatz, is setting new standards in artistry and musical versatility with the release of his latest album, Grandeza—Spanish for “greatness.” The Ebonyi State-born, Lagos-bred producer, songwriter, and sound engineer recently hosted an exclusive listening party, welcoming some of the biggest names in the music industry to preview his latest work.

Grandeza follows Boombeatz’s earlier projects, including This Is Boombeatz (2019) and More Life (2022), as well as EPs like Zeal (2023) and Sugar Mummy (2024). Over the years, his collaborations with artists such as Rex, Dr Spicey, Jaywon, Seriki, Dbanj, and Timaya—most notably the hit single “Akanchawa”—have showcased his range and cemented his reputation as a versatile, accomplished musician.

Known for blending Afrobeats, Dance/Electronic, and Afro-pop, Boombeatz continues to expand his musical footprint. Grandeza is his first project since signing a two-year management deal with CBC Marketing and Management Company, a Norwegian outfit he discovered during his recent European tour. The album features a collection of melodious and energetic tracks, including “All Blessings,” “Rockstar,” “Dem Dey Hate” featuring Magnito, “Money,” “Osusu,” “Chinasa,” “Mummy,” “Ocean” featuring Dr Spice, and “Nobody.”

According to his management team, Grandeza aims to consolidate Boombeatz’s growing influence in Europe. Tracks such as “Je Viens d’Afrique” (“I Come from Africa”) are designed to connect with French-speaking audiences, reflecting his ambition to introduce African sounds to a broader international fanbase.

With Grandeza, Boombeatz reaffirms his place as a creative force in contemporary music, blending cultural influences with infectious beats and reaffirming his commitment to artistic excellence. The album not only highlights his evolution as a musician but also signals a new chapter in his journey toward global recognition.
