With the theme “AI and Marketing Workflow: Disruption or Opportunity,” the conference—scheduled for Friday, November 28, 2025, at the Oriental Hotel, Lekki, Lagos—is expected to serve as a major convergence point for thought leaders, innovators, and policy influencers exploring how emerging technologies are redefining the marketing landscape.
Among the keynote speakers is Folajimi Daodu, Chief Executive Officer of Vault Hill, who has emerged as one of Africa’s most respected voices in AI, blockchain, and immersive technology. Daodu has urged participants to approach this year’s conference with an open and forward-looking mindset, emphasizing that AI is not a distant future but an active force transforming industries and economies today.
“AI is no longer a futuristic concept, but a present reality shaping industries and economies,” Daodu stated.
He noted that, like every major innovation, AI presents both challenges and opportunities. According to him, the real task for innovators and professionals lies in embracing AI’s potential while also preparing to manage its possible downsides.
“AI is here to stay, and we must figure out how to work with it as co-collaborators,” he added, stressing that the BJAN conference would provide a unique platform for practical discussions and knowledge exchange on the subject.
The Brands and Marketing Conference, now in its 13th edition, has become a premier gathering for players across the Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) industry, serving as a forum to discuss developments affecting the sector and the wider economy.
This year’s edition aims to unpack the growing influence of AI in marketing—examining how it can drive creativity, improve consumer engagement, and optimize workflows—while maintaining a balance between innovation and ethical responsibility.
Joining Daodu on the keynote lineup are other distinguished professionals, including Dr. Cherry Eromosele, Executive Vice President and Group Chief Marketing & Communications Officer at Interswitch Group, and Dr. Lekan Fadolapo, Director-General of the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON).
Dr. Fadolapo is expected to present a paper titled “AI and Advertising Regulation in the Digital Age: Challenges and Opportunities,” addressing the implications of AI on advertising standards and consumer protection in the digital space.
Following the keynote sessions, a panel discussion will feature seasoned experts who will dissect the papers and share practical insights from various industries. Panelists include Morolake Emokpaire, Marketing Lead at Cadbury Nigeria Plc; Lanre Basamta, CEO and Co-founder of Optimus AI Labs; Austin Onyebuchi Akosa, Chief Information Officer at UBA; and Emma Adeniran, an ICT expert.
As the marketing world continues to navigate the complexities of AI integration, the BJAN-organized conference promises to be a timely and insightful platform for fostering collaboration, innovation, and ethical discourse in Nigeria’s rapidly evolving digital economy.
