Nigerian singer and hypeman Slimcase has openly expressed admiration for Wizkid, describing the superstar’s lifestyle as the pinnacle of extravagance in the Nigerian music industry.

In an interview shared on X Thursday, Slimcase, born Oluwafemi Oladapo, said, “If I can get just 10 per cent of Wizkid’s enjoyment, I am set for life. Wizkid enjoys luxury quietly, without flaunting it on camera.”

Slimcase rose from humble beginnings, once earning just ₦15,000 a month working in a factory, before carving a niche in Nigeria’s music scene. He is widely credited with popularising the viral “Shaku Shaku” street dance and music trend and has collaborated with top artists including Wizkid, D’banj, Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade, Mr Eazi, and 2Baba. His hit “Gucci Snake,” featuring Wizkid, remains one of his most notable songs.

Beyond music, Slimcase has cultivated a multifaceted career as a content creator and influencer, citing Don Jazzy as a source of inspiration for this aspect of his work. His admiration for Wizkid reflects both a respect for success and a desire to emulate the superstar’s ability to enjoy life quietly while maintaining a strong professional presence.
