Union Bank of Nigeria has unveiled a new customer rewards initiative aimed at encouraging consistent savings, boosting premium account activity, and promoting greater engagement through digital banking channels. The “Save and Gain” promo is open to both new and existing customers and is designed to incentivize disciplined account usage while driving the adoption of Union Bank’s digital platforms.
To participate, customers are required to open or maintain an account, sustain a monthly average balance of at least ₦50,000, complete a minimum of five monthly transactions, and actively use digital channels such as debit cards, USSD, mobile banking, or internet banking.
The rewards structure is tiered to recognise top performers. Monthly rewards include free debit cards and cash prizes of ₦50,000 and ₦100,000, depending on the level of participation. In addition, the bank will award a special ₦30,000 cash voucher to top depositors and contributors in December. The grand prize, a whopping ₦5 million, will go to the customer with the highest average deposits over the six-month campaign period.
This new campaign builds on the success of Union Bank’s previous initiative, the Save & Win Palli Promo, through which over ₦330 million in cash and prizes have been distributed to more than 5,000 customers since 2021. Unlike earlier campaigns, Save and Gain places a strong emphasis on digital adoption and inclusion, using a performance-based reward system that values transparency, consistency, and responsible account management.Prospective customers can join the promo by downloading the UnionMobile app or visiting any Union Bank branch. Returning customers looking to reactivate dormant accounts can call the 24-hour Contact Centre at 07007007000 or visit any branch nationwide.
With Save and Gain, Union Bank is positioning itself not only as a facilitator of financial growth but also as a promoter of disciplined savings and digital engagement among its customers, ensuring that responsible banking habits are consistently rewarded.
