Nigerian music legend Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has publicly appealed for forgiveness following a wave of controversy and online debate triggered by recent events involving his marriage to his wife, Natasha.

The period of turmoil, which included a viral video showing the singer’s arrest in the United Kingdom as well as a tense exchange between the couple during a live television appearance, fuelled speculation across social media and invited extensive public criticism. The situation quickly became a talking point among fans and commentators, prompting 2Baba to address the growing conversation.

Speaking to fans during a recent performance, the award-winning artiste pleaded for calm and understanding. “Make una no vex again. Make una forgive me and my family and everybody,” he said, signalling his desire to move past the negative spotlight and restore peace within his home.

Earlier, 2Baba had urged the public to stop directing harsh comments at his wife, acknowledging that disagreements are a natural part of any relationship. He emphasised that he is actively working to resolve the issues and protect the dignity of his family.
