The celebration, spearheaded by Yankee Entertainment in partnership with Renewed Hope Youth Engagement and the Office of the Special Assistant to the President on Social Events, aims to usher in the New Year with a mix of high-energy music, entertainment, and community engagement.
Known for its strong public partnerships and grassroots initiatives, the 2Baba Foundation continues to leverage the power of music to inspire and unite communities across Nigeria. The Foundation’s management explained that the decision to feature 2Baba at the event was motivated by his enduring connection with Abuja residents, as well as a desire to spread positivity and gratitude as the city transitions into 2026.
“2Baba Foundation believes in the promise of the future and the power of self-belief. Our message is clear: anyone can achieve greatness at any time, and hope should never be lost,” the Foundation stated.
Mallam Yankee, the event organizer, described the upcoming performance as inspirational, noting that 2Baba’s rise from humble beginnings to international stardom offers a powerful reminder of perseverance and determination. “Having 2Baba lead the countdown will encourage residents to embrace self-belief and optimism in the New Year,” he said.
The December 31 festivities at Eagle Square kick off at 2:00 p.m. and will feature not only 2Baba but also performances from Magnito, Shoday, Fola, and Soundboi BME. Attendees can look forward to a wide range of attractions, including a concert, MSME exhibition, drift show, children’s arena, and a spectacular fireworks display to ring in 2026.
