Africa Magic is turning up the festive spirit with a December schedule designed to keep viewers firmly on the couch. The broadcaster has lined up a mix of long-running favourites, fresh series premieres and a full slate of movies across its Showcase, Epic, Family, Yoruba, Igbo and Hausa channels throughout the month.

Fan-favourite titles such as My Flatmates, Tinsel and The Low Priest continue their regular run, delivering the comedy, drama and rivalry that have built their loyal audiences over the years.

In addition to ongoing series, Africa Magic is rolling out a month-long selection of films spanning comedy, romance and thrillers. The network says the aim is to offer a “buffet-style” viewing experience for the holiday season, with each channel hosting themed movie offerings.

The platform is also introducing two new headline productions. Daughters of Water premieres December 29 on Africa Magic Showcase, following Anie, a disgraced investigative journalist who returns to her hometown during the Ukang Festival — an annual ceremony honouring river spirits. Her attempt to document the festival for her YouTube channel becomes complicated when a second documentary crew arrives and her family is selected to host them.

Kicking off the new year is The Split, debuting January 1, 2026. The series centres on Abdul, a man overwhelmed by gambling debt who stumbles upon a dormant bank account belonging to a deceased customer. Instead of walking away, he assembles a small team — including a bank manager and an IT expert — to attempt a risky theft that sets off a chain of suspenseful decisions.

Africa Magic is encouraging subscribers to reconnect via #MyDStv or #MyGOtv and to stream new and returning titles on the DStv Stream and GOtv Stream apps. The network says viewers can expect a mix of cultural intrigue, crime stories, comedy and high-stakes drama throughout the holiday period.
