All Roads Lead to the Dancefloor, directed by Grant De Sousa, arrives as a cinematic reflection of a summer defined by music, movement, and shared cultural moments across South Africa.

Cape Town, December 15th, 2025 - As South Africa steps into peak festival season, a new short documentary film is offering a timely lens on what continues to connect people across scenes, cities, and sounds. All Roads Lead to the Dancefloor, directed by Grant De Sousa and produced by Anything Goes, arrives at the start of summer as a cultural snapshot of the country’s music-driven social life- where different journeys ultimately converge on the same floor.

The film follows a series of characters inspired by Anything Goes’ flagship festivals, moving through distinct worlds and emotional states. From the glitter-drenched freedom of Paradisco, to the golden-hour stillness of Corona Sunsets Festival, to the scale and intensity of Ultra South Africa - Africa’s largest electronic music festival - each story unfolds in its own rhythm before merging into a shared moment of release.

Rather than documenting nightlife, All Roads Lead to the Dancefloor treats the dancefloor as a cultural space - one where identity softens, difference dissolves, and connection takes precedence. Through bold match cuts, immersive sound design, and textured visuals, the film captures not only the destination, but the anticipation and movement that define the journey itself.

“We needed to create something with broad appeal that spoke to the diversity of the Anything Goes brand,” says director Grant De Sousa. “At our core, we’re all made of stardust. No matter your background, skin colour, or point of origin, we all want to experience the same things - to enjoy our lives with a sense of freedom. That’s what festivals are: shared communal experiences that allow us to be free with people we love and complete strangers.”

The project reflects the long-standing cultural approach that has shaped Anything Goes since its founding by Shaun Duwe - one that prioritises lived experience, music, and place.

A decade-long creative partnership with Howler is woven naturally into the story, with each character’s journey beginning through the Howler Super App - a subtle acknowledgment of access, discovery, and the shared pathways that bring people into cultural spaces.

Shot using a mix of virtual production, AI-enhanced visuals, and innovative cinematography, the film pushes the boundaries of South African music filmmaking, creating a sensory experience that echoes the scale and emotion of the festivals it draws from.

At a time when South African music continues to travel globally - from Afro-house to Amapiano - All Roads Lead to the Dancefloor positions the dancefloor as one of the country’s most honest meeting places. It is a love letter to a culture that is expressive, diverse, and deeply human.

This summer, whether arriving barefoot on the beach, drenched in glitter, lost in Afro-house, or lit by lasers, the message is clear: different journeys, one destination. All Roads Lead to the Dancefloor.
