The festival’s lineup was headlined by international artists Busta Rhymes and Gunna, while Africa’s finest performers—including Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Shenseea, Phyno, Fave, Juma Jux, Qing Madi, and Diamond Platnumz—kept crowds enthralled across multiple nights.
The opening ceremony on December 7 set a high artistic bar, featuring aerial ballet performers that transformed the stage into a visually captivating spectacle. Nigerian music heavyweights Wande Coal, Young Jonn, Ice Prince, Darey, Fola, Shoday, and Jerry Shaffer also took the stage, signaling a blend of local and international artistry that became the hallmark of the festival.
The Federal Ministry of Art and Culture joined the celebration as a partner, with Minister Hannatu Musa Musawa highlighting the festival’s role in projecting Nigeria’s creative industries onto the global stage. She noted its influence in boosting holiday tourism and reinforcing the country’s cultural footprint.
Over its 2025 edition, Detty December Fest has set new benchmarks for live entertainment in Lagos, serving as a catalyst for tourism, economic growth, and cultural engagement. As the lights dim on Ilubirin, the festival leaves behind a lasting legacy and heightened anticipation for next year’s edition.
