The inauguration, held alongside the chapter’s End-of-Year Celebration, was led by newly sworn-in Chairman Onome D. Odili (FNIMN). In his inaugural address, Odili outlined a vision guided by the mandate of “Vibrancy, Innovation, and Visibility,” setting the stage for the chapter’s next phase of growth.
The new leadership team unveiled a three-pillar strategy designed to enhance the professional development of members:
- People: Prioritizing mentorship, skill-building, and community engagement.
- Profession: Raising marketing standards through continuous learning and cross-industry collaboration.
- Presence: Expanding the chapter’s influence and visibility within the Nigerian marketing ecosystem.
“Tonight marks the beginning of a clear mandate: to lift the NIMN Ikeja Chapter into a new era,” the Chairman said. “Our vision is to position Ikeja as the most active, influential, and professionally rewarding chapter in the entire Institute.”
The ceremony also paid tribute to the outgoing committee, recognizing their contributions as the foundation for the current leadership’s expansion. The chapter has already shown momentum in the final quarter of the year, participating in initiatives such as the Breast Cancer Awareness Walk and implementing internal reforms to better serve members.
Emphasizing leadership as a collective journey, the new EXCO called for active participation from all members. The event concluded in a celebratory atmosphere, blending professional commitment with the festive spirit of the season.
“We step into this role with humility and confidence rooted in service,” Odili said. “Together, we will build a chapter that reflects the true spirit of marketing: innovation, connection, and impact.”
