In a statement shared on Instagram, Slimcase clarified that the content was created to promote the dignity of labour and to highlight the importance of waste management and other essential professions. He stressed that the idea was entirely his and was not intended to misrepresent, ridicule, or embarrass LAWMA, its personnel, or the Lagos State Government.
The content creator disclosed that the video was taken down from all platforms on December 8, 2025, immediately after concerns were raised. He further confirmed that no edited or adapted versions of the video are currently in circulation.
Slimcase also reassured the public that LAWMA neither endorsed nor participated in the production of the skit. Acknowledging the agency’s critical role in maintaining cleanliness across Lagos State, he expressed respect for its operations and personnel.
Taking full responsibility for the incident, Slimcase promised to exercise greater caution in future creative projects to avoid similar issues. He reiterated that his intention was solely to convey a positive message about the value of all professions, emphasizing that waste management work is noble and deserving of respect.
