According to the Starboy boss, Asake’s vocal prowess stands out not just in Africa but across the world. He praised the YBNL star for his unique tone, artistry and impact on contemporary Afrobeats.
“‘Omo Ope’ made me an Asake fan from the first listen. But my favourite Asake song is ‘Remember’; I think you have to play that one on my wedding day… You have one of the most special voices from home and in the world. You are a blessing to African music,” Wizkid said.
The Afrobeats icon is currently in a relationship with his manager and third baby mama, Jada P, with whom he shares three children—two boys and a girl. Wizkid has hinted at plans for a wedding several times in the past, though no date has been announced.
