Popular media personality and content creator Kolu has publicly appealed to fellow entertainer Carter Efe for financial assistance to secure singer Portable’s release from prison, requesting N7 million.

The plea came during a livestream on Twitch on Thursday, where Kolu explained his concern for the singer’s welfare. He revealed that Portable was instrumental in his rise to fame, saying in Pidgin, “Portable brought me to Lagos, I come blow. Na him help my life.”

Portable, known for his energetic performances and hit tracks, was remanded in prison on Tuesday by the Federal High Court in Ota, Ogun State, following allegations of car theft and assault filed by his baby mama, Ashabi Simple. Reports indicate that the singer was reportedly handcuffed and beaten while in police custody.

Kolu’s emotional appeal highlights the close professional and personal ties between the two entertainers, with the content creator urging immediate support to facilitate Portable’s release.

The case has drawn widespread attention online, with fans and fellow entertainers closely following developments and calling for fair treatment of the singer while legal proceedings continue.
