Recent reports of a voluntary and precautionary recall of certain batches of Nestlé Infant Formula in some countries have prompted questions among concerned parents and caregivers. In response, Nestlé Nigeria has issued a statement to clarify the situation and reassure consumers.

According to the company, Infant Formula sold in Nigeria is not included in the recall announced elsewhere. Nestlé emphasized that all Infant Formula products marketed and officially registered in Nigeria with the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) remain safe for consumption.

Specifically, Nestlé Nigeria confirmed that the following product lines are unaffected: SMA Gold 1, SMA Gold 2, SMA Gold 3, and NAN Optipro 1, NAN Optipro 2, NAN Optipro 3.

The company stressed that ensuring the safety and quality of its products is paramount, and that the health and well-being of infants remain their highest priority. Consumers can continue using these products with confidence.

Nestlé Nigeria also encouraged parents and caregivers to consult official sources or contact the company directly if they have any questions or concerns regarding the safety of infant formula.
