Nigerian model and socialite Denrele Edun has opened up about his personal life, revealing that he has struggled to find lasting love and has often felt his affection was not returned.

In a recent appearance on The Moraya Show, Denrele said he has been “unlucky with love,” explaining that his partners have rarely matched his level of commitment.

“I have not really been lucky with love. People like us who have so much love to give to the world, we don’t really get it back in return,” he said.
“All my special attachments did not come out the way I would have loved it to. I have just realised that it is better I love myself.”

Denrele insisted he is not the reason his relationships have failed, describing himself as “the easiest person to love.”

“I am the easiest person to love. I have so much love to give,” he said.
“Recently, I was in a relationship with someone and I realised that once I make effort, people give excuses. That is what is happening in my love life all the while.”

He added that his partners often responded with confusion rather than clarity, despite his efforts to show commitment.

“While I’m giving clarity, they are giving me confusion. I will show commitment and they would not reciprocate. So, I realised that this is just convenient to the person,” he said.

The entertainer also addressed questions about his sexuality, stating that he has experienced “the best of both worlds.”

Denrele’s candid remarks add to his reputation for being open about his personal life, as he continues to navigate relationships in the public eye.
