Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, popularly known as Portable, has publicly criticized fellow musician Mavo, describing him as “untalented” and questioning his abilities as a performer.

In a video shared on his social media page, Portable, known for hits like Zazu, claimed that Mavo, the Shakabulizzy crooner, relies heavily on auto-tune to produce his music. The singer also criticized a recent clip of Mavo’s live performance, suggesting it revealed a lack of musical skill.

Portable went further, asserting that some of his own signees are more talented than Mavo. He said:

"Mavo uses auto-tune. I’ve been seeing some celebrities associating and collaborating with you. You now went to do a live band. Is that how to perform? Even my signees sing better than you. Your live performance is shambolic. That’s not how to use a live band. I blame the superstars who overlook real talents and support overhyped, wack artists."

As of now, Mavo has not responded to Portable’s comments. The remarks have sparked conversations on social media, with fans and industry watchers weighing in on the ongoing debate about talent, performance, and the use of technology in modern Nigerian music.
