Quickteller Unveils InsomniaQ: A 12-Hour All-Night Music and Culture Experience for Lagos’ December Scene

Lagos is set to welcome a new addition to its festive entertainment calendar as Quickteller, the digital payments platform of the Interswitch Group, unveiled InsomniaQ—an all-night music and culture experience billed as a first-of-its-kind event in the city.

The announcement was made at a press briefing in Lagos, where members of the media and key stakeholders were given an exclusive preview of the event. Scheduled to take place from the evening of December 21 into the early hours of December 22, 2025, InsomniaQ is positioned as a 12-hour non-stop celebration of African music, creativity, and cultural expression.

A New Cultural Statement for Quickteller

Speaking at the briefing, Cherry Eromosele, Executive Vice President of Group Marketing and Communications at Interswitch Group, described InsomniaQ as a natural extension of Quickteller’s engagement with consumers’ most meaningful moments.

“InsomniaQ represents a cultural statement for us,” Eromosele said. “Quickteller has always shown up in people’s everyday lives as an enabler of convenience and connection, and with InsomniaQ, we are stepping into culture in a way that feels authentic, immersive, and reflective of the energy that defines Lagos in December.”

She added that the experience was designed to spotlight African talent, creativity, and storytelling through an “unforgettable, all-night journey through sound, art, and lifestyle.”

Reflecting Lagos’ Festive Pulse

The event’s all-night format was explained by Olawale Akanbi, Divisional Head of Growth Marketing (Quickteller Ecosystem) at Interswitch, who said InsomniaQ was inspired by Lagos’ restless festive spirit.

“InsomniaQ was born from a desire to do something truly different,” Akanbi said. “This is a city that doesn’t sleep during the festive season, and InsomniaQ was designed to reflect that pulse by creating an immersive, all-night experience that brings people together through music, culture, and shared moments.”

He emphasized that the event goes beyond performances, highlighting community, creative expression, and African talent in a fresh and culturally relevant way.

A New Must-Attend Destination for December

InsomniaQ is expected to appeal to music lovers, cultural enthusiasts, and December returnees, blending diverse African soundscapes with immersive experiences. Quickteller has positioned the event as a new must-attend destination in Nigeria’s December entertainment landscape.

The company also explained the concept behind the event’s timing, saying it taps into the human circadian rhythm—when the body signals rest at night while creativity and inspiration often rise. InsomniaQ, the statement said, exists for “that exact hour when inspiration ignores bedtime.”

Beyond Payments: Quickteller’s Broader Cultural Commitment

The media briefing also highlighted Quickteller’s broader commitment to supporting lifestyle experiences and the growth of Africa’s entertainment ecosystem, extending its brand presence beyond digital payments.

With anticipation building toward the maiden edition, Quickteller has urged the public to stay connected and prepare for what it describes as one of December’s most anticipated cultural experiences.
