Reality star Tacha has entered the ongoing debate surrounding Pere Egbi’s claim of being healed by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, urging Nigerians to understand the difference between miracles and magic.
In a post on social media, Tacha stressed that miracles require faith, unlike magic, which is instant and does not depend on belief. She criticised what she described as Nigeria’s growing “quick-fix mentality,” arguing that many people expect divine intervention to work like a magic trick.
“There’s a HUGE difference between miracles and magic!” she wrote.
“A lot of people expect miracles to be like magic tricks… Trust me, I’m not here to defend any man of God, but truth is: miracles do exist.”
Tacha also condemned the rise of fake pastors who exploit people’s impatience and desire for instant results, saying this has contributed to the proliferation of counterfeit churches across the country.
She further explained that miracles often involve faith and process, citing the example of church members who pray for the sick in hospitals and return with testimonies.
“Magic doesn’t need your BELIEF; miracle does. That’s why Jesus said, ‘Your faith has made you whole’.”
Tacha’s post comes amid mixed reactions online to Pere Egbi’s testimony, with some praising the healing claim and others questioning its authenticity.
Her message, however, is clear: miracles are not instant, effortless tricks, and faith remains central to the process.
