The company said its platform has been enhanced to help students and their families navigate the increasingly digital admission process with greater ease and clarity. Securing a Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) ePIN—often regarded as one of the most critical steps in the admission journey—requires timely action and strict adherence to guidelines, particularly within Nigeria’s highly competitive higher education environment.
In a statement issued on Friday, Remita disclosed that recent upgrades to its platform were designed to reduce friction, strengthen digital connectivity among students, parents, and institutions, and deliver a smoother user experience throughout the registration phase.
Through its upgraded website and mobile application, candidates and their sponsors can now pay for JAMB services directly, track transactions in real time, access original payment receipts, and earn rewards on completed payments. According to the company, the system ensures secure and efficient transactions while eliminating dependence on third-party intermediaries that often complicate the process.
Beyond individual users, Remita said it is extending support to trusted partners within the education sector, including schools and training institutions. These organisations can now process JAMB ePINs seamlessly within their own systems, a move expected to reduce administrative pressure and protect candidates from misinformation and exploitation.
Commenting on the initiative, Executive Director of Business Development at Remita, Mr. Abayomi Oniku, described education as a long-term national investment, stressing the company’s commitment to ensuring that payment systems enable rather than hinder access to opportunity.
Similarly, Head of Digital Assets and Partnerships at Remita, Ms. Alisa Chinedu, noted that the company is focused on making the ePIN experience more intuitive and user-friendly. She said the introduction of an AI assistant, alongside stronger collaborations with trusted institutions, is intended to better guide students through the process and support their academic aspirations.
The latest developments underscore Remita’s broader focus on financial inclusion, digital accessibility, and economic participation. As a recognised national payments and digital public infrastructure provider, the company continues to position itself as a key connector between individuals, institutions, and opportunities within Nigeria’s education ecosystem and beyond.
