Victor Osimhen, Wilfred Ndidi, Paul Onuachu and Chidozie Awaziem have all returned to their European clubs, leaving Morocco on a private jet.
Osimhen, Ndidi and Onuachu all play in Turkey, while Awaziem is based in France.
Their departure means the quartet will not be present at the award ceremony scheduled for tomorrow after the final, as medals were not handed out following Saturday’s match.
Nigeria secured third place by beating Egypt 4-2 in a penalty shoot-out after the match ended 0-0 in regulation time. This marks the ninth occasion that the three-time AFCON champions have claimed the bronze medal.
