The speculation began after Dami posted a photo of herself with Asake at an event, captioned “Mr Money and Mrs Money.” The post quickly sparked dating rumours and generated widespread attention online.
Dami later addressed the rumours on her Instagram page, clarifying that she and Asake are not dating. She explained that the photo was taken during her first meeting with the singer.
“Guys, that was my first time meeting him [Asake], so I took a picture. Do not believe blogs, they can do anything for traffic,” she wrote, urging followers not to trust unverified reports.
Asake is not publicly known to be in a romantic relationship since his split from his Gambian girlfriend, Madame Mystique, in 2014.
