Aura V achieved the feat at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards held on Sunday, where she won the Best Children’s Music Album category alongside her father as part of the group FYÜTCH & Aura V. Their album, Harmony, clinched the award, marking a historic moment for children’s music and for the Recording Academy.
The win places Aura V ahead of previous record-holder Blue Ivy Carter, daughter of music power couple Beyoncé and Jay-Z, who won her first Grammy in 2021 at the age of nine. Blue Ivy received the award for Best Music Video for her contribution to Brown Skin Girl at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards.
Brown Skin Girl featured a star-studded lineup, including Beyoncé, Nigerian Afrobeats star Wizkid, and Guyanese-American rapper Saint Jhn. However, Saint Jhn was not credited in the Grammy win as he did not appear in the official music video, which formed the basis for the award.
Aura V’s recognition stands out because she is individually credited for the Grammy win, further cementing her place in music history at an exceptionally young age. The achievement highlights the growing presence of young creatives on global music stages and underscores the expanding recognition of children’s music within the industry.
With this record-breaking win, Aura V not only redefines age boundaries at the Grammys but also signals a promising future for the young artist as she continues to build her musical journey.
