Official Novel for 2026 UTME Released
JAMB has announced The Lekki Headmaster by Kabir Alabi Garba as the official novel for the 2026 UTME. Candidates who complete their registration at accredited CBT centres are entitled to receive a free copy of the novel and are advised to request it if not automatically provided.
Candidates Advised to Start Preparation Early
To aid preparation, candidates are encouraged to use the Myschool JAMB CBT Mobile App (available on Android and iOS) and the Myschool JAMB CBT Software for computers. Both platforms offer over 60,000 past JAMB questions and answers to support effective exam readiness.

New Requirement: Disclosure of Previous Admission Status
In a new mandatory requirement, candidates must now disclose their previous admission or matriculation status during registration. This includes providing details of any prior UTME or Direct Entry (DE) registration and the year of registration.
Failure to declare previous admission or registration will automatically invalidate the current registration and any prior admission. Candidates who have been previously admitted but wish to change institutions or programmes are allowed to do so, provided they declare their previous status.

Upon completion of registration, candidates must verify that all details on the registration template have been correctly entered into the portal. Printing of the registration confirmation slip is only possible after biometric authentication, which confirms valid fingerprint data for UTME/DE candidates. Candidates are advised to carefully check their details before biometric confirmation, as this step helps prevent errors and disputes.
Schools, institutions, tutorial centres, business centres, and cafes are encouraged to set up CBT centres and apply to become JAMB CBT Agents and Training Centres to support candidates in preparation for the 2026 exams.
