The magazine, citing unnamed sources, said that Founders Fund, the venture capital firm backed by billionaire investor Peter Thiel, contributed a “double-digit” million-euro investment. The report added that other European investors also participated in the round, although specific details and participants were not disclosed.
Stark Defence did not immediately respond to requests for comment, and the company declined to provide a statement to Manager Magazin, the report noted.
Separately, documents reviewed by Reuters indicated that the German government plans to place orders worth 536 million euros for strike drones from Stark Defence and another German defence contractor, Helsing.
The latest funding development comes amid rising demand for unmanned systems in European defence procurement and as governments seek to boost domestic drone manufacturing capabilities.
