Popular Nigerian comedian and filmmaker Ayo Makun has been recognised as one of the recipients of the Trailblazer Award at the 2026 edition of the Silverbird Man of the Year Awards.

The award was presented on Sunday, March 1, during a star-studded ceremony held at Eko Hotels & Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos. The annual event celebrates outstanding Nigerians who have made remarkable contributions across sectors including entertainment, business, public service, and leadership.

The Trailblazer Award recognises individuals who have broken new ground in their fields through innovation, resilience, and sustained impact.

Reacting to the recognition, Makun expressed gratitude and described the honour as a defining moment in his career.
