Bad Bunny made his first-ever performance in Asia during a landmark show at Spotify’s Billions Club in Tokyo, Japan, on Saturday, March 7. The 31-year-old Puerto Rican superstar, fresh from headlining Super Bowl LX, played to roughly 2,300 of his top Spotify fans at the invite-only Tipstar Dome Chiba.

During the performance, Bad Bunny delivered 17 of his biggest hits, including “DtMF,” “BAILE INoLVIDABLE,” “NUEVAYoL,” and “EoO.” The artist has now amassed 29 songs that have surpassed one billion streams on Spotify, underscoring his global streaming dominance.

Adding to the spectacle, the stage was transformed into a Japan-inspired sakura theme, featuring cherry blossom trees, yakisugi wood accents, and a glowing sun that bathed the performance in warm light.

The event, Spotify’s first Billions Club Live in the region, also featured a salsa version of his 2018 hit “MIA,” with guest appearances from Puerto Rican musicians Los Pleneros de la Cresta and Los Sobrinos. Fans joined in singing the Japanese lyrics during “Yonaguni,” while a salsa rendition of “BAILE INoLVIDABLE” and a surprise performance of “Safaera” with Jowell & Randy provided additional highlights. The evening was opened and closed by DJ Nasthug, setting the tone for an energetic, immersive experience.

The audience included high-profile attendees such as BLACKPINK’s Lisa and contemporary artist Takashi Murakami.

Bad Bunny has recently shattered multiple records. In February, he achieved a historic 29 simultaneous titles on the Hot Latin Songs chart, including the entire top 25, led by “DtMF” for its 47th week at No. 1. He also topped the all-genre Billboard Hot 100. His Super Bowl halftime show on February 8 drew 128.2 million viewers, ranking as the fourth-largest halftime audience in history.

This performance in Japan further cements Bad Bunny’s status as a global music phenomenon, bridging Latin music with international audiences through both streaming dominance and live spectacle.
