Actress and former Big Brother Naija housemate, Bambam, celebrated the birthdays of her daughters, Zendaya and Maya, in a heartwarming visit to an orphanage. The film star, who is married to fellow reality star Teddy A, is a mother of two girls. Maya was born on March 3, while Zendaya’s birthday is March 5.
In a post shared on her Instagram page, Bambam described her daughters as “answered prayers” and “a daily reminder that God still creates miracles.” She expressed the profound impact her children have had on her life:
“My sweet girls, you are the rhythm of my heart. Watching you grow has stretched me, softened me, and taught me how deep a mother’s love can truly go. I look at you, and I see purpose. I see light. I see God’s promises walking around in tiny shoes.”
She also highlighted the significance of celebrating all children, especially those in orphanages, during the month of March:
“And today, as we celebrate you, we also celebrate every baby being honoured this month of March, especially the precious children in orphanages and homes around the world. You are not forgotten. You are seen. You are deeply loved. If I could gather each of you in my arms, I would whisper the same prayer I pray over my daughters: that you will grow surrounded by love, covered in grace, and confident in your worth.”
Bambam drew on biblical scripture to frame her blessings for the children:
“The Word of God says, ‘All your children shall be taught of the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children.’ (Isaiah 54:13). And Jesus promised us the Great Comforter:
‘And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever.’ (John 14:16)
‘But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance.’ (John 14:26).”
She prayed that the Holy Spirit would guide and protect the children:
“May the Holy Spirit, our Teacher, our Helper, our Great Comforter, guide you, teach you, protect your hearts, and overwhelm you with His glory and a peace that surpasses all understanding. I pray God sends you comfort where there has been loss, joy where there has been longing, abundance where there has been lack, and love that never runs dry. To my Maya. To my Zendaya. To every child reading this or represented here, you are heaven’s treasure. And you are deeply, fiercely loved.”
Bambam’s gesture of combining her daughters’ birthday celebrations with an outreach to orphans demonstrates her commitment to using her platform to uplift vulnerable children, while also celebrating her own family milestones.
