In a historic moment for African music, Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has become the first African artist to earn over $1 million from a single concert in Oceania.
The record-breaking feat occurred during the Sydney leg of his No Sign Of Weakness tour at Qudos Bank Arena on 18 October 2025, where the show grossed an impressive $1.117 million.
Data from global tour monitoring platform Touring Data confirmed the achievement, noting that Burna Boy’s tour not only shattered previous earnings records in the region but also became the “highest-grossing tour by an African artist in Oceania,” generating a total of $3.1 million from 31,000 tickets sold across four Australian shows.
According to Touring Data, the four-show Australian run attracted 30,946 fans, with an average ticket price of $100.94, resulting in an average revenue of $772,791 per performance.
The No Sign Of Weakness tour spans 20 shows across three continents—North America, Europe, and Oceania—further cementing Burna Boy’s global appeal. With this milestone, he now stands as the first African artist in history to gross over $1 million from a single concert on three separate continents, underscoring his growing influence in the international music scene.
