Veteran Nollywood actress and evangelist, Eucharia Anunobi, has shared a deeply personal account of the challenges she endured during her marriage to her ex-husband, Charles Ekwu. The revelations came during her appearance on The Honest Bunch Podcast, which was shared on Instagram, where the actress became emotional recounting the difficulties she faced.
Addressing her ex-husband directly, Anunobi insisted that her account reflected the truth of her experience. “Charles Ekwu, if you see this video, just know I am not lying against you,” she said.

The actress disclosed that despite repeated cautions from her parents, she chose to remain in the marriage, hoping for improvement. “I still held onto the marriage believing that it’s alright, we will be fine. He’s the same person that said he would be there with me through thick and thin,” she said, her voice breaking with emotion.

Anunobi revealed that the marriage became increasingly difficult, both emotionally and financially. She claimed that she carried the majority of responsibilities, while her ex-husband contributed little to the household. “He is the same person that my parents said, ‘Eucharia, this guy is not it for you.’ I was the one doing everything. Charles never brought one naira,” she stated.
