According to the refinery’s new template, the price of petrol has been lowered by ₦100, dropping from ₦1,175 per litre to ₦1,075 per litre. For coastal deliveries, the petrol price has been adjusted slightly lower to ₦1,050 per litre to reflect maritime distribution costs.
Similarly, the price of Automotive Gas Oil (diesel) has been reduced to ₦1,430 per litre, a decrease of ₦190 from the previous ₦1,620 per litre.
The refinery emphasized that the listed gantry prices do not include charges or levies from the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), which may affect final pump prices for consumers.
Industry observers say this adjustment could provide some relief to motorists and transport operators, who have been grappling with high fuel costs amid broader inflationary pressures in the country. The move also underscores Dangote Refinery’s ongoing strategy to stabilize domestic fuel pricing as it ramps up production and distribution capacity.
