Grammy-winning singer Billie Eilish has ignited fresh debate online after sharing her strong views on meat consumption, saying she believes eating animal products is morally inconsistent with loving animals.

In a now-viral video, the 24-year-old artist expressed discomfort with what she sees as a contradiction in people’s behaviour toward animals and food choices.

“Y’all not gonna like me for this one. Eating meat is inherently wrong. And then the other thing is, two things cannot coincide. I love animals. I love all animals so much and I eat meat. You just can’t do both. Sorry. You can eat meat. Go for it. You can love animals, but you can’t do both,” she stated.

Eilish acknowledged that individuals are free to make their own dietary decisions but maintained that her personal beliefs remain unchanged, emphasising that compassion for animals should, in her view, align with dietary habits.

The comments have since circulated widely across social media, reigniting discussions around veganism, animal rights, and personal freedom of choice, with supporters and critics weighing in on her stance.
