Rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, has raised concerns about alleged age falsification within the Nigerian music industry, claiming that several artists deliberately understate their real ages to improve commercial appeal.

Speaking during a recent livestream conversation with streamer Enzo, he suggested that age manipulation has become a quiet but widespread practice among emerging and established acts seeking record deals, brand partnerships, and investment opportunities. According to him, many stakeholders in the entertainment business tend to prioritise younger talent, particularly for marketing and endorsement considerations.

Odumodublvck argued that this perception has influenced some artists to alter their publicly stated ages in order to fit industry expectations. He maintained that investors are often hesitant to back older musicians, even when talent and potential remain strong.

Reflecting on his personal outlook, he stated that at 32, he has chosen to focus less on external validation or age-related pressure, while emphasising that industry bias remains a factor shaping career decisions for many artists.
