Following its 2025 debut, which attracted more than 2,800 participants across two cities, the initiative has expanded into a seven-city national movement supporting vulnerable and abandoned children across South Africa.
The 2026 event will take place in Midrand, Bloemfontein, George, Gqeberha, Rustenburg, with additional locations to be announced.
Hosted by CRC Cares, supported by MANZI Water, and presented in partnership with One Gospel, the initiative continues its mission of raising awareness and direct support for vulnerable children. This year, all proceeds from the event will go towards Talitha Cumi Place of Safety, assisting children who have been abandoned, abused, or placed in need of care and protection
Organisers say the event is more than a run, but a call to action for communities to take responsibility in supporting vulnerable children.
"This Youth Day, we are reminded that the future of our nation depends on how we care for our children; especially the most vulnerable among us,” said Pastor Keshia, Head of CRC Cares.
She added that the initiative represents a collective stand against child abandonment and social neglect.
“‘Run For Me’ is more than a charity fun run. It is a call to action that no child should feel abandoned, forgotten, or without hope. Every step represents compassion in action,” she said.
