Nigerian disc jockey and media entrepreneur DJ Kelblizz, born Aggrey Miracle Sabastine, has made a return to active music releases after several years of focusing on media, technology, and entertainment business development.

Born on July 24, 1999, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, and originally from Imo State, DJ Kelblizz began his journey in the entertainment industry around 2018 before stepping fully into professional DJing in 2019.

His early entry into music saw the release of his debut single, “Confession,” in September 2019, marking his official introduction into Nigeria’s independent music space. At the time, he distributed some of his work through Spinnup, a music platform previously owned by Universal Music Group. However, the eventual shutdown of the platform led to the removal of much of his early catalogue from digital streaming stores.

Building a Brand Beyond DJing

In 2020, he established De Thrills Music, a platform created to support music distribution and promotion for emerging and independent artists.

His sound and performance style have been shaped by both international and Nigerian influences, drawing inspiration from global DJs such as Marshmello and Alan Walker, as well as Nigerian acts like DJ Neptune, DJ Spinall, and DJ Cuejuicy.

By 2021, DJ Kelblizz gradually stepped back from releasing new music, although he remained active through live performances, remixes, and event appearances. During this period, he expanded further into media and tech entrepreneurship through De Thrills Media & Tech LTD, launching projects such as De Thrills Music Awards and Kelblizz World Global Concepts.

He also contributed to music production and co-production for several artists from 2023 onward, maintaining his presence behind the scenes in the industry.

Industry Recognition and Return to Releases

DJ Kelblizz’s work during his years of evolution earned him recognition in the industry, including nominations such as Male DJ of the Year at The Beatz Awards, as well as a nomination at the South South Industry Night and Awards.

After nearly five years away from major releases, he made a comeback in February 2026 with a six-track extended play titled “The Afrohouse Experience.” The project, which he fully produced himself, has since received radio airplay and playlist placements across several digital streaming platforms.

He has also recently released singles including “Sunrise Groove,” “Highway,” and “Sax Culture,” which continue to circulate across streaming services and DJ playlists.

A Career Shift Toward Music Entrepreneurship

DJ Kelblizz’s journey reflects a broader shift in Nigeria’s entertainment landscape, where many creatives are increasingly combining performance careers with entrepreneurship in music distribution, event production, and digital media.

From early DJ sets to music production and now platform building, his career path highlights a transition from frontline performance to a more hybrid role spanning artistry, business, and technology within the evolving Nigerian music industry.
