Pop icon Madonna is once again bringing her creative reinvention to the big screen as she prepares to unveil “Confessions II,” a new visual film premiering at the Tribeca Festival in June.

The film, directed by New York-based creative duo David Toro and Solomon Chase — collectively known as TORSO — is built around the opening six tracks from Madonna’s forthcoming studio album, Confessions II.

The project serves as a follow-up to her acclaimed 2005 dance album Confessions on a Dance Floor, a record widely praised for reviving disco-inspired electronic pop and becoming one of the defining dance albums of its era.

The visual film will make its world premiere on June 5 at the historic Beacon Theatre. After the screening, Madonna is expected to participate in an exclusive conversation alongside the directors, moderated by television host and comedian Jimmy Fallon.

According to the official synopsis, “Confessions II” unfolds as “a single, continuous piece,” blending interconnected music-driven sequences into what creators describe as an immersive cinematic journey.

“It unfolds as a single, continuous piece, weaving together interconnected, music-driven sequences into an immersive cinematic experience,” the description states.

“A film that gives physicality to the music, ‘Confessions II’ lives in the tension between control and surrender, between being seen and disappearing into a crowd.”

The film reportedly explores themes of nightlife, desire, identity and escapism, with each chapter taking viewers through what producers describe as “a sexy thriller, a dance delusion, an epic fever dream.”

Like the album itself, the visual project intentionally blurs the lines between individual songs, creating one evolving narrative driven by dreamlike transitions and emotionally charged dance sequences.

At the center of the story is what the filmmakers describe as a chaotic night out where obsession, temptation, pursuit and self-discovery all eventually lead back to one symbolic destination — the dancefloor.

Jane Rosenthal, co-founder of the Tribeca Festival, praised Madonna’s enduring ability to evolve artistically while remaining culturally influential.

“Madonna has spent decades proving that reinvention is its own art form,” Rosenthal said.

“‘Confessions II’ feels immersive, provocative, and completely of the moment, while still channeling the kind of nightlife mythology only she could create. We are thrilled to welcome Madonna back to Tribeca.”

The directing duo TORSO has become known for blending fashion, performance art and cinematic storytelling across runway productions, commercial campaigns and experimental visual projects. Their collaborations with luxury fashion brands and contemporary artists have helped establish their reputation for visually daring and movement-focused productions.

Madonna’s upcoming album Confessions II is scheduled for release on July 3 through Warner Records.

Organizers also confirmed that tickets for the premiere will initially be made available exclusively to members of the Madonna fan community through special digital access codes before broader public access opens.
