The rankings, released by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board during the 2026 Policy Meeting on Admissions to Tertiary Institutions in Abuja, highlight a diverse group of top performers from different states, examination centres, and institutional choices.
At the summit of the list is Owoeye Daniella Jesudunsin, who scored 372, sitting for the exam in Ogun State but originating from Ekiti State. She has chosen the University of Lagos to study MBBS, marking her as the highest scorer in this cycle.
Closely following is Enwere Kingsley Ikenna, who recorded 370 while writing the exam in Lagos State, originally from Imo State. He has opted for Nile University of Nigeria, where he intends to study Computer Science.
With a score of 369, Bamisile Ayomide Emmanuel, who sat for the exam in Ogun State and hails from Ondo State, secured admission interest in Software Engineering at the Federal University of Technology Akure.
A cluster of candidates followed closely with 368 marks, reflecting an intense competitive edge among top performers.
Among them is Olabiyisi Olanrewaju Oluwatimileyin, from Oyo State origin, who chose Mechatronics Engineering at Pan-Atlantic University.
Also scoring 368 is Victor-Onyeka Daniel Ifeanyi, who wrote his exam in Rivers State and is from Imo State. He has selected Electrical/Electronics Engineering at the University of Port Harcourt.
Another 368 scorer, Osagiobare Daniel Osahenrumwen, who is both from and examined in Edo State, chose Mechanical Engineering at the University of Benin.
Ademiluyi Adebowale Anthony, from Osun State, also scored 368 and selected Computer Engineering at the Obafemi Awolowo University.
Similarly, Azuike Kenechukwu Anthony, who sat for the exam in Lagos State but is originally from Anambra State, chose Software Engineering at the Afe Babalola University Ado-Ekiti.
In the 367 category, Offorkile Michael Okechukwu, a Computer Science aspirant, sat for the exam in Anambra State but hails from Abia State.
Also scoring 367 is Adebisi Eniola Sonari, who wrote the exam in Osun State and originates from Ogun State. He selected Computer Science at Covenant University.
Rounding off the list is Umukoro Gift Orhenevovwero, who sat for the exam in Edo State and comes from Delta State. He chose Electrical/Electronics Engineering at the University of Lagos, scoring 367.
The strong showing across engineering, computer science, and medicine-related fields underscores the growing competitiveness of Nigeria’s tertiary admissions landscape. It also reflects increasing student interest in technology-driven disciplines, which continue to dominate top choices among high-performing candidates.
