GBFoods has announced the appointment of Adedunmola Ezichi as Category Manager, effective June 1, 2026, reinforcing the company's commitment to strengthening its marketing capabilities and accelerating growth across key product categories.

In her new position, Ezichi will lead efforts to drive category expansion, sharpen brand positioning, and develop innovative consumer-focused strategies aimed at enhancing business performance and market competitiveness.

Her appointment brings to GBFoods a seasoned marketing and brand management professional whose career spans fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), digital marketing, business operations, and executive leadership. Over the years, she has built a reputation for delivering transformational brand strategies, leading innovation initiatives, and managing complex portfolios that have consistently generated sustainable growth and strong commercial results.

Before joining GBFoods, Ezichi served as Head of Category, Personal Hygiene at , where she oversaw a portfolio that included leading brands such as Carex, Premier Cool, Imperial Leather, and Premier Care Naturals.

During her tenure, she played a significant role in strengthening category performance, improving brand equity, and expanding market share. One of her standout accomplishments was the successful implementation of the Carex master brand strategy, an initiative credited with supporting margin growth and accelerating revenue performance. She also spearheaded consumer-centric campaigns driven by data analytics, market intelligence, and emerging technologies, helping brands remain relevant in an increasingly competitive marketplace.

Ezichi's expertise extends beyond traditional brand management into the digital marketing space. While at , she served as both Head of Digital and Digital Brand Manager, leading digital transformation efforts for some of Nigeria's most recognised beverage brands, including Pepsi and 7Up.

In those roles, she developed and executed high-impact digital campaigns that significantly enhanced brand visibility, consumer engagement, and online reach, helping the brands strengthen their connection with younger and digitally active audiences.

Her leadership experience also includes entrepreneurship. As Chief Executive Officer of StyleMeAfrica Online Co, she demonstrated her ability to build and scale brands, manage creative teams, establish strategic partnerships, and drive business growth through innovative marketing and commercial strategies.

Over the course of her professional journey, Ezichi has held several leadership and management positions, including Head of Business Operations at Beauty Hut Africa, Brand Manager at Maju Fashion and Western Lotto, Portfolio Manager at , and Marketing Associate at ALARA Lagos.

Industry observers describe her as a commercially astute strategist with a strong ability to identify growth opportunities, interpret consumer insights, manage budgets effectively, and deliver measurable business outcomes. Her track record across beauty, lifestyle, consumer goods, and digital marketing sectors has been marked by successful campaigns, strategic partnerships, and consistent value creation.

Academically, Ezichi possesses a strong international educational background. She earned a Foundation Degree in Business from Columbia International College, a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from University of Essex, and a Master of Science degree in International Business from Coventry University.
